Tuesday Poetry: Help Me Please

help me please
i can’t find a way out
i’m trapped inside my head
all the lights have been turned out
help me please
i’m stuck here, can’t you see
if i don’t go now
i may never, ever leave

it’s been many days
since i’ve last seen your face
you’re so beautiful, please
don’t ever change your ways
i’m in a rut you see
my life is going down
one night with you baby
and my life will turn around

don’t leave me
i’m too worried that you will
i can’t even look at you
because i think i’ll make you ill
i’m only a man
that’s all i’ll ever be
but with your help honey
i’ll be something more to see

Poetry Monday: Overcoming the Burden

when death is upon you
you feel the surprise
your hands cold and clammy
you hope it’s not your time
your elegance is fading
mystery is in your eyes

what will you do now
a sensation you can’t describe
the feeling of letting go
these feelings you try to hide
you can’t throw them away
you can’t lock them inside

with the struggle within
your hope is not alive
what can be done
you’re hurting other’s lives
the madness must end
you decide in your cries

nothing can break you
nothing makes you change
the horrors you’ve fought through
the horrors of your rage
nothing will make you
nothing can break change

you decide in your cries
the madness must end
you’re hurting other’s lives
what can be done
your hope is not alive
with the struggle within

you can’t lock them inside
you can’t throw them away
these feelings you try to hide
the feeling of letting go
a sensation you can’t describe
what will you do now

mystery is in your eyes
your elegance is fading
you hope it’s not your time
your hands cold and clammy
you feel the surprise
when Death is upon you
