Rejection
I am not eating
I was not what she wanted
Life has drained from me
Love Haiku
You know you’re in love
When they have no love for you,
But you still love them

I was four
The first time
I saw
My father
Get drunk
And beat my mother
This happened
For many years
And I repressed
Most of my
Memories
He went on
To beat my sisters
Years later
Always drowning
Himself in alcohol
Never feeling
Remorse
Repressed memories
Returned
I saw him
As he truly was
I’m supposed
To be a man
Like that?
This is the man
I once wanted
To be?
What kind of man
Am I
For wanting
That?
I don’t want to be
A man anymore

welcome friends from all around
this is where sustenance can be found
you crave and yearn for pleasurable delights
but lose sight of that which is right
the greed and hunger that consumes you all
this of course will be your downfall
as you cry for a better life
it’s taken away with the blink of an eye
Early poetry from James. From the poetry collection Pariah Bound: The Lonesome Poetry.
