Caturday Poetry: The Feline Experience

I envy the cat’s life –
Whether it be small cats
Big cats domesticated
Wild or feral
It’s simple –
No bills taxes jobs
Coffee shops or schools –
Maybe a hairball
Now and then –
I too wish to sleep
All day without a
Care in the world
But that’s the
Feline experience –
Not the human experience –
Experiences are overrated
I prefer to stay home
With my cats

Flashback Friday Poetry: A Lost Concept of Time

days speed by with the quickness of time
many weeks pass but it’s just now tomorrow
it’s been so long since i’ve seen or heard from you
a few hours at the most; at the least just a few
time creeps by with the patience of death
but my patience is dwindling faster than the rest
left behind again it seems
or do i not see what is right in front of me
i search for a sign that i cannot see
i’ve lost all concept of time; i’m stuck here with me

Early poetry from James. From the poetry collection Pariah Bound: The Lonesome Poetry.

Throwback Thursday Poetry: The Last Good Intention of the Psychotic Mind

i give to you my will and wishes
in which you choose what to do with as you want
there is one condition you must always follow
never let your mind go hollow
emptiness within your thoughts
will cause you only to decay and rot
optimism that is the key
optimism will keep you happy
i can do no more for you
as my mind has finally gone
remember my words; hold them true
if you should forget may God have mercy on you

Early poetry from James. From the poetry collection Pariah Bound: The Lonesome Poetry.
