Spooky Poetry: Hunting for Teeth

out hunting for teeth
that will be used no more
from those whose souls do sore

this One is so fresh
just hanged he was this mourn
from flesh his life is torn

maggots start their feast
grotesque though it does seem
tis easier unseen

prying teeth from thee
seems to be so unjust
this won’t stop my hard thrust

I beseech my Lord
do not punish me here
his teeth I do not fear

in my own judgment
I intend to reuse
these Pearls are my Muse

Early poetry from James. From the poetry collection Pariah Bound: The Lonesome Poetry. Inspired by “Out Hunting for Teeth!” by Francisco de Goya y Lucientes.

Flashback Friday Poetry: The Intension of Life

how i patiently wait in the dark of night
for a brief glimpse of this magnificent sight
a sight so breath-taking with its scenery
it could save the darkest soul from misery
my search for this place to some; a mystery
no questions asked if they knew my history
in the gleam of Twilight and the light of Day
my quest for the place that will lead me away
though my life will be gone before i am through
the after-life journey will be nothing new
searching for happiness; my heart will stay true

Early poetry from James. From the poetry collection Pariah Bound: The Lonesome Poetry.

Throwback Thursday Poetry: Last Wishes

look inside this life of mine
to find the reasons why i died
some would say the way i lived
brought about my unholy end
but i think the path i chose
was the best one, that’s what i know
so to you who hated me
i’m gone for all eternity
anyone who cared that day
when i died and i went away
though few of you there may’ve been
i hope you remember again
this sad life i fought to keep
and i lost so miserably

Early poetry from James. From the poetry collection Pariah Bound: The Lonesome Poetry.
