Flashback Friday Poetry: My Only Wish

the Welcome Wagon passed again
to greet those awful merry men
lost in shame with no time to mend
my only wish; to have a friend

the dreams of the youth in my head
forgotten dreams to lose again
in a life with no hope for men
my only wish; to find a gem

the unfortunate one goes on
expecting nothing from beyond
lost in tragedy far too long
my only wish; i feel too fond

listening to the spring bird’s song
impales the soul and makes it calm
nothing afterwards seems so wrong
my only wish; another song

floating through all the nothingness
facing all those who are faceless
to live my life without anguish
that is truly my only wish

Throwback Thursday Poetry: The Enigma

nestled in the twilight
of consciousness that’s mine
empty thoughts of sorrow
take up most of my time
all i am asking is for
the Sun to come outside

breaking through day to day
this monster inside me
he seeks to take over
it’s me he wants to be
the Rage is his Passion
he hates all that he sees

encompassed in queries
from now ’till i end life
what is it that i’ve done
to be given such strife
can’t take it anymore
this is no kind of life

the rationalism
of this ludacrisy
is so mind boggling
it’s just hypocrisy
Life is one big question
it’s one big mystery
