What’s New Wednesday: October

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any updates. I had a great time at YumaCon a couple weeks ago. I sold more books there than at any other convention. My bookmarks also sold very well. I still have two more conventions before the year is over. Later this month, I’ll be part of the vendor section of the Tucson TerrorFest. They tried this vendor convention part of the TerrorFest in 2019 and it was successful so they’re bringing it back. You can learn more details on their website about the film festival and the vendors. It’s happening on Oct 23 and 24 here in Tucson, AZ.

Also happening in Tucson, the TusCon Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Horror Convention is doing it’s 48th year. That’s a long time. I will have a table at that convention as well. I’ll be selling bookmarks and copies of my short horror stories collection The Morbid Museum. I’ll have a couple other items as well. Come by and say hi. I hope to have my first full length novel finished by the middle of next year so I can have it for sale at all the conventions next year. Of course, if you’re unable to make it to either of these events, you can always purchase my works online. I hope you’re all doing well and I hope to see some of you at the next convention.

What’s New Wednesday: July

I had mentioned a while back that I would be a vendor at the Mad Monster Party Horror Convention in Glendale, AZ. This was on July 4th weekend, and I had a blast. I got to meet some celebrities and I sold some books. With this being the third time I’ve sold books at a convention, I think I have a nice base line for how much I’ll sell each time. That’s some valuable information for people on a budget. I made many new friends as well. Some I know I’ll see at next year’s convention and some I may see at other conventions.

Speaking of other conventions, I’m working on the paperwork for YumaCon. This is the comic convention in Yuma, AZ. This convention will be on October 2 and 3 this year. This convention is managed by City of Yuma officials which means there’s more paperwork. I’m awaiting answers to some questions before I can move forward. This convention will help me verify the base line of sales I mentioned earlier. I plan to debut a couple new bookmarks at this convention as well. If you didn’t already know, I sell bookmarks too.

I never did an official product launch for my bookmarks, but I intend to as I roll out new designs. At the Mad Monster Party convention, I showed of my spooky collection of bookmarks. These are all Halloween themed and you can purchase them in my Shop if you’re interested. What’s New Wednesday: June

You may have noticed I’m posting less on here. After posting one or two posts every day for over a year, I’ve decided to take a step back and focus on other things for a while. I’ll still try to post once a month. I will post an update or two while I’m at the Mad Monster Party Horror Convention next month. After I finish with the convention, I want to focus on finishing the first draft of my novel by the end of this year. I can easily finish sooner but I’m lazy and procrastinate a lot.

I also want to find new conventions to attend that don’t require a lot of travel on my part, so I can go to all the places. I’m writing more spooky poetry and once I have a surplus, I’ll start sharing things again. I plan to focus all my writing efforts on all my works in progress (which are all horror stories) and spooky poetry. That should keep me busy and satisfied. At some point I plan to continue some of my regular postings such as the book reviews and sharing my photography, but not for a while. I need a break. See you all next month.
