Flashback Friday Poetry: The Intension of Life

how i patiently wait in the dark of night
for a brief glimpse of this magnificent sight
a sight so breath-taking with its scenery
it could save the darkest soul from misery
my search for this place to some; a mystery
no questions asked if they knew my history
in the gleam of Twilight and the light of Day
my quest for the place that will lead me away
though my life will be gone before i am through
the after-life journey will be nothing new
searching for happiness; my heart will stay true

Early poetry from James. From the poetry collection Pariah Bound: The Lonesome Poetry.

Flashback Friday Poetry: Crazy

my last and final thoughtless dream
before i awake from this sleep
is the reason i’m brought to this place
to see why i despise my face
they poke and prod and rape my mind
but to this day nothing they find
they give me pills to make me nice
and feed me this horrible rice
so stuck here in this mattress-ed room
i’ll give them their answer very soon
