Chest tightens and eyes burn
Not sleeping or eating
No desire to move or think or feel
Broken pieces of dreams hit the ground
Pain only gets worse with age
From the poetry collection Cats, Coffee, Catharsis.

I heard a man yell
“Come and see!”
And I saw
The White Nights
When others sleep
The Sun does not
And as you ride farther North
You meet the Midnight Sun
Guarded by the White Nights
And the Solstice
A Sun like no other
Lurking above the horizon
From the poetry collection Cats, Coffee, Catharsis.

At least twice a
Month it happens
The nightmares always
Have the same theme
I run from something
Every dream is different
Sometimes I’m pursued
By monsters or creatures
Other times it’s
Men with guns
A different scenario
A different location
But I’m always running
What are the dreams telling me?
What am I running from?
From the poetry collection Cats, Coffee, Catharsis.
