when i close my eyes
i see so many faces
so many friendly faces
the faces that can’t hurt
that can’t deceive you
no matter what i do
they’re there for me
and always will be
when i open my eyes
i see no faces
no friendly faces
just faces that hurt
and do deceive you
i do nothing
and they disappear
these faces have left me here
when i close my eyes
i see so many faces
so many friendly faces
but these faces do hurt
and do deceive you
no matter what i do
i see no faces
just emptiness in their places
