Throwback Thursday Poetry: The Melody of the Metronome

tick, tick, tick
this sound
it sticks
in my head
i’ll hear it
when i’m dead
i go home
i hear
the melody of the metronome

tick, tick, tick
this sound
i twitch
my head
i hear it
when sound is dead
home alone
i hear
the melody of the metronome

Early poetry from James. From the poetry collection Pariah Bound: The Lonesome Poetry.
