Tuesday Poetry: Running Nightmare Wake Up

Running running running
Faster into the brush
Breathing too fast so quick
Branches that stab and cut
Pounding chest and great fear
Something chasing unknown
And still you run somewhere
Anywhere except home
Nowhere is safe running
Faster faster faster
Never ending nightmare
Panic closing around
Wake up wake up wake up

From the poetry collection Cats, Coffee, Catharsis.
